ABOUT

Still Wild Mountains is built around one idea: most mountain journeys do not fail because of conditions alone. They fail because of poor structure.

The project focuses on the invisible part of mountain travel – route logic, timing, access, exposure, transitions, and decision flow. This is where stronger trips are built.

Still Wild Mountains brings together three connected parts of that work: custom Trip Design, the Still Wild Lines guidebook series, and long-term regional knowledge developed through repeated movement across Georgia, Turkey, and the Indian Himalayas.

This is not a standard tour model. It is a field-based approach to designing mountain journeys that work in real terrain, under real conditions, and for the people actually moving through them.

Still Wild Mountains was created by Oleg Gritskevich – a backcountry guide, trip designer, and guidebook author whose work combines mountain knowledge, route development, logistics, and long-term exploration.
